New BMC / SMC Fillers

The addition of this filler to the SMC / BMC results in a better release effect, a lower viscosity at the time of molding, a higher degree of cure, a reduced amount of styrene volatilization, and easier coloration than conventional fillers. The company believes that the mineral filler added to the polymer matrix, you can improve the effect of reducing shrinkage, in the SMC process, 490 filler can make the product stripping easier. However, when the filler is used for BMC, a special release agent is added.

In order to make the filler more effective in the SMC formulation, the particle size of the calcium carbonate must be ground to reduce the viscosity of the ingredients, uniform particle size distribution, and to bind the 490 filler to the resin more densely. One of the salient features of this filler is the ability to reduce the amount of styrene volatilization, as long as the surface coating a thin layer of resin, can effectively inhibit the volatile amount of styrene.
