SMC research began in 1951, gradually mature after 1965, up to today's LP-SMC, LC-SMC, HMC and XMC products, a variety of products have been more than hundreds of, is currently all FRP products in the most widely used and the largest amount of the process. SMC raw materials are mainly 25mm or 50mm long glass fiber, resin, thickening agent, release agent, pigment paste, high temperature curing agent. Through the SMC sheet machine kneading, after impregnation can be rolled or laid into a folded sheet, after further thickening and to meet the requirements of mold pressing viscosity.

After molding SMC raw materials removed after packaging can be placed in 150℃ or so in the heating mold of hydraulic pressure (5-15mpa) pressing molding (holding time 40s-60s/min), and then after to fly, cutting, drilling and painting can be used.

SMC is different from other composite materials, it is especially suitable for the large-scale production of complex structure, high performance requirements, precise size products. At present, the annual starting production of SMC products is more than 5000 sets.
